A little while ago, me and my mom threw a cute woodland wonderland themed baby shower for my sister in law! It turned out so cute and I wanted to share some pictures and ideas with you here. This baby shower was for a baby girl, but you could totally cater this to a boy as well. I loved creating all the details for this shower, let me know in the comments what you think of this woodland wonderland theme! Also check out another baby shower that I styled here.

Invitations:
I created some invitations using Photoshop and some hand written calligraphy that I drew up. They read “A little deer is almost here”! Love me a cute play on words!

Food:
For the food my mom put together a soup bar. I mostly focused on the dessert table. I made acorn Oreo balls, donut hole snowball trees, deer cookies, and some pinecone cheese balls.

These Oreo acorn balls were super easy to make. They are crushed up Oreos mixed with frosting, shaped, dipped in chocolate, rolled it sprinkles with a pretzel on top!

This was my first time making sugar cookies with royal icing! I used Alison’s Cookie Party recipe and it worked like a charm!

I love how these pinecone cheese balls turned out! I just shaped a store bought cheese ball into a pinecone shape then added almonds!

Decorations:
I decided that I wanted to create a tented greenery look that would be cute and whimsical. I got a huge piece of fabric at the craft store and hung it up with command hooks, (but i’m not sure if I would do this again, it did rip off a little paint) OOPS! I then safety pinned a evergreen garland to the edge of the sheet and added some eucalyptus into the garland. For a final touch I wired some fake flowers onto the top. We also did a mantle installation that read “Oh Deer” with some festooning and some other garlands. I used a lot of natural wood elements and slabs that I had. I even made the cake stand that the cookies are on from two wood slabs that I had.

Favors:
This shower was near Christmastime so we created a little ornament for everyone to take home. I printed out a deer print that I liked onto clear paper, we then inserted them into the ornaments. We also added some course salt into the bottom and topped them off with some textured paint and glitter!

Let me know what you think of this themed shower! I had a lot of fun styling this!

Here is the cute momma we were celebrating!

I also added eyelashes to a couple of the cookies that were left over from the shower! I didn’t think that they could get any cuter!
